Can anyone help with the guadalajaradispensas website?

By rosa9972 | 11:53 AM MST, Sat October 14, 2017

I need someone to help the owner with some technical aspects. The two elements involved are GoDaddy and Blogger. Please email me if you think you can help.

Thanks,
Rosalinda

Rosalinda and I worked with the owner to get the site back online. Give it a try, it should load for everyone now.

Thanks, Daniel! Your help was invaluable.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier to everyone; my job has been keeping me busy. Thank you for your patience; there were circumstances that made it challenging to get here. I would like to thank the owner, too, who had to spend time fixing what was a less than straightforward issue.

In order to reinstate the site, I had to pay the renewal fee out of my own pocket, and the owner has been paying for years. I may try to see if we can create something to help the owner (and me!) defray the costs since we've all enjoyed the benefits of the site.

I'll look into this in December, once I have some free time to do so.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Once you figure out how much you would
need in compensation, let us know, I'd be happy to contribute.

Rosalinda,

Yes, thank you for all your work and dedication.

And, please, don't tell us how little to contribute; tell us how much. I am certain that many other 'Rancheros' will also be happy to contribute.

www.guadalajaradispensas.com is back online!

Thank you Daniel, Rosalinda, and Claudia,

. It is a very valuable resource that many of us have used to break through brick walls. Here are two examples:

Almost from the beginning of my building my family tree I came up against statements from a couple of prominent genealogists that my paternal ancestral line was inaccurate. All the pieces of the puzzle, when brought together, led to the conclusion that my constructed tree was correct. Mariano Gonzalez Leal and Jaime Holcombe did not have these ancestors in their work. Jaime Holcombe specifically states that this one ancestor died at a very young age before having family. Jaime Holcombe was incorrect in this statement. All of the records that I collected and brought together made sense only with the tree that I constructed from the many many pieces. But this tree was constructed from dozens of primary documents, and if a single one of those documents was in error, then the whole tree fell apart. It was only through the Guadalajara dispensations offerered online was I able to find a 1611 document that gave a complete seal of approval to this constructed family tree. It provided a primary piece of evidence without having to rely on the many many pieces of the puzzle that I had brought together.

The second example of the marriage dispensations helping me break through brickwalls was how I was able to find primary evidence that explained a big mystery of my De La Torre ancestors and how they were related to Miguel Hidalgo. This also helped me discover the De la Torre Ledesma ancestral family line all the way back to Spain. This line connects to the opposing side of the civil war between Pedro and Enrique II. I had already previously constructed my descent from many members of Enrique Ii's side of the civil war, so this discovery added more juice to the stories that I had collected of their conflict as the De La Torre Ledesma family descends from Pedro "el cruel" 's side of the civil war. This ancestral line shows how many of the founding fathers of Los Altos de Jalisco came from families that were related in Spain.

It is so invaluable that I I would like to ensure that it is never taken down again. I would gladly take over the management of keeping the site up. Please contact me.

Thanks again,
Rick A. Ricci

What is the problem? We need to know the issues before We can brainstorm and find a solution. Who and how do we get in contact?
