Possible clues as to parents of Isabel Hurtado de Mendoza

By Visitor (not verified) | 11:04 AM MST, Sat August 08, 2015

Some information in a marriage record was posted on http://www.nuestrosranchos.org/node/22981?page=2. Could this Diego Hurtado de Mendoza and Maria Lerma be related to Isabel Hurtado de Mendoza?

Possible clues as to parents of Isabel Hurtado de Mendoza

Mr. Ricci there is a Hurtado de Mendoza on wikipedia married to a De Luna
and his father Diego Hurtado de Medoza was also married to a De Luna.

Isabel's parents

Those Diego lived and died earlier than when we know Isabel was born. This Diego Hurtado and Maria Lerma child is marrying in 1570. This places This Couple as a possibility. This Isabel had children in the mid to late 1550's and 1560's. Mr. Navarro claimed that she descended from this father you mentioned but through a daughter of his. I believe that the problem was that this daughter lived at at an earlier time period and that an extra generation was needed.
Thanks Danny

Isabel's parents

This geni site http://www.geni.com/people/Diego-De-Mendoza/6000000018990684674

has Diego Hurtado de Mendoza. It says that he's married to somebody name *Sanchez* wit no first name and it says hes the son of Inigo Lopez de Mendoza y Quinonez and Francisca Pacheco Portocoro.

But the geni ones seem to make a lot of mistakes or just make up stuff because Wikipedia say that Inigo Lopez de Mendoza y Quinonez son Diego Hurtado de Mendoza is a poet and it says he wen to England and Italy but doesn't look like he was ever in Mexico. It says he was banished from court in 1568 but says he spent the rest of his life in Granada Spain so that doesn't seem like the right Diego Hurtado de Mendoza.

Theres a sea captain name Diego Hurtado de Mendoza
https://books.google.com/books?id=U5Z6AAAAMAAJ&pg=PA470&lpg=PA470&dq=%2…

this looks like a different Diego Hurtado de Mendoza
https://books.google.com/books?id=JNExAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA40&lpg=PA40&dq=%22D…

The problem is to many people with that same name
