Velación

By Armando | 3:15 PM MST, Wed October 26, 2011

After seeing the messages about casé y velé I did some searching and I found
some things to add to what has been said previously,

In the dictionary of the Real Academia Española, DRAE, it says the velo is a
band of white cloth placed on the shoulders of the groom and the head of the
bride as a sign of the union they acquired.

http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/SrvltConsulta?TIPO_BUS=3&LEMA=velo

Velar is 3. tr. Cubrir con velo. U. t. c. prnl.

On Youtube you can see a Latin mass that has this ceremony and the placing
of this cloth can be seen in the exact same manner as described by the
definition of the Real Academia Española

veló comes from the verb "velar" like " velar a los muertos" that means stay
awake all night praying for the dead man,

"I haven't seen the
todavía no lo has visto.

Saludos
