Does anyone know where to get access to the Defunciones records of Mezquitic, Jalisco, Mexico during the years of 1705 - 1709?
My 7th generation great grandfather Antonio Madera had passed away sometime between 1705 - 1709 because I have seen baptismo record where he was a padrino in 1705 which means he was still alive but in 1709 during another document where his daughter Manuela Madera gets married with Xristobal Robles and it mentions that Antonio Madera as defunto.
I want to find his defunto record that should be in Mezquitic around 1705 - 1709. Those years are not online in the familysearch.org website.
Can anyone help? He is the husband of Maria De La Candelaria Angon (1655 - 1735)

unfortunately there are record gaps in the availible records on family search
Missing records
According to the Family History library catalog, there are no death records for the period 1687-1711. Thus the records either do not exist (more likely), or if they do exist, they were not filmed (less likely).
Sometimes a record type will be mixed with other records, such as the first volume for Mezquitic which includes baptisms, marriages, and deaths. The catalog will often, but not always state this. Considering the gap is so large, I suspect these records are lost.
I have come against the same problem in other communities (San Fancisco del Rincon, GTO), where the more important records (marriages and baptisms) do not exist for a critical time period for some families I am researching.
Nonetheless, I continue to be amazed at the vast quantity of records that do exist for Mexico.
