Ortega and Sonora

Por Anónimo (no verificado) | 1:00 PM MST, Vie Julio 21, 2006

Sorry to eavesdrop; however, I found this message of special interest. If
Sonora is mentioned, you have my undivided attention. To date I have been
able to trace my TISNADO line to the marriage of Juan Domingo Tisnado and
Ma. Magdalena Contreras in 1736 in Magdalena, Sonora. As shown by a later
padrón, he is listed as being of the presidio de Túbac. In addition, forty
years later his son, Juan José Tisnado, is listed in the muster rolls of the
presidio de Tucsón.

Regarding the surname Ortega, I have found numerous instances of
intermarriage between the TISNADO, ORTEGA and LISARRAGA. This marriages
ocurred in the area of the presidio de Altar.

Ortega and Sonora

His research does include Sonora. Sorry to leave that state off the list.

Unfortunately, I see no mention of Ortega, Tisnado, nor Lisarraga.
